Radhika Merchant, set to become the newest addition to the Ambani family through her impending marriage to Anant Ambani, is currently at the centre of lavish celebrations in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Mukesh Ambani, India's wealthiest man, is hosting a three-day extravaganza that has attracted a star-studded guest list, including global tech CEOs, industry giants, and Bollywood celebrities. Anant Ambani, 28, a director on the boards of several Reliance-owned companies, is scheduled to tie the knot with Radhika Merchant, 29, on 12 July. The engaged couple has been together since January of the previous year. Radhika Merchant, hailing from a distinguished family, is the younger daughter of Viren and Shaila Merchant, founders and owners of Encore Healthcare. Viren serves as the CEO of Encore Healthcare and is a board member of APL Apollo Tubes, a steel manufacturing company. Shaila, on the other hand, is the director of Encore Healthcare. Her elder sister, Anjali Merchant, is married to Akash Mehta, a businessman and partner at EY. Radhika completed her schooling at Cathedral and John Connon School and Ecole Mondiale World School. She holds an International Baccalaureate diploma from BD Somani International School and is a graduate in Political Science from New York University.
Upon returning to India, Radhika initially joined Isprava, a luxury real estate company, before transitioning to Encore Healthcare after a year. Alongside her professional pursuits, she has received training in the Bharatnatyam dance form. In June 2022, Radhika performed her 'Arangetram' (first stage performance) at Mumbai’s Jio World Centre. Her diverse areas of interest encompass animal welfare, civil rights, economic empowerment, education, health, human rights, and social service.
Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani share a long history as childhood friends. Reports suggest she has been a regular guest at the Ambani residence and has attended significant family events, including Isha Ambani's wedding with Anand Piramal in 2018 and Akash Ambani's marriage to Shloka Mehta in 2019.
